Squatters have taken over a London mansion allegedly linked to a Russian oligarch amid the conflict in Ukraine.
Photographs present a Ukrainian flag frolicked a window of the home in Belgrave Sq., in addition to an indication saying “this property has been liberated”.
Police stated they had been referred to as to the property at 1am on Monday, and located that “various individuals had gained entry and hung banners from upstairs home windows”.
Officers stay on the property, the Metropolitan Police stated in an announcement afterward Monday morning.
Movies shared on social media appeared to indicate squatters searching of the propertly whereas police gathered on the bottom.
The group accountable stated it needed to indicate “solidarity with Ukraine” by taking on the mansion in an announcement.
It stated the residence would “function a centre for refugee help, for Ukrainians and other people of all nations and ethnicities”.
