Musician Murat Kalacı said that the songs that can appeal to all generations are passed on to future generations.
Noting that music is a multi-layered branch of art, Kalacı stated that the main purpose of music is to be passed on to future generations. Stating that this is a fundamental idea inherent in art, Kalacı emphasized that every song that can appeal to different generations is passed on to future generations. Explaining that individuals from different generations have different aesthetic views, Kalacı said, “It is both difficult and very valuable to be able to embrace everyone with songs. There are names that have achieved this in the field of music. His songs are so valuable and interesting that they are handed down between generations. Undoubtedly, this is the main aim of a singer who wants to appeal to the whole period. I have such songs that everyone can listen to with pleasure and find something of themselves in these songs. At this point, the question of the genre of songs comes to mind for many. For example, there is a perception that rap is not accepted by a wide audience. I think the main point here is to make songs on genres. The lyrics are so beautiful, the melody is so impressive that even the person who is thought not to listen to rap listens to these types of songs. I basically want to reach future generations with my songs. Let these songs be listened to after me. Let the audience be enchanted and feel happy. I know I have to work harder for this. It is very important to follow the sector closely and be open to innovations. I am also trying to take the necessary steps to improve myself. I listen to the singers I find close to my style and analyze the reasons for their appreciation. But that doesn’t mean I’m not original. I add details that will reflect me to what I have learned. Thanks to these works, I can say that my style has been formed. Frankly, what I do makes me very happy.”
