Spam fritters and spring onion mash
Serves: 4
Elements:
500g frozen mashed potatoes
200ml milk
50g salted butter
4 spring onions, finely chopped
Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
340g can Spam, chilled
300ml glowing water
200g self-raising flour
2-3tbsp cornflour
Technique:
1. Reheat the mash in a microwave-safe bowl based on the packet directions and blend effectively.
2. Add the milk and butter, after which microwave for a couple of seconds to soften the butter. Combine effectively and style for seasoning. Stir within the spring onions and put aside.
3. Warmth the vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok to 180C. Minimize the Spam into 4 equal slices.
4. Place the flour in a bowl, add the glowing water to the flour after which combine right into a gentle batter. Mud every slice of Spam with somewhat cornflour, then dip into the batter.
